It all began in 1897 when Brazilian Alberto Santos Dumont (born 1873) was a world-famous aviation pioneer, nobleman and style icon. He was the heir of a rich plantation dynasty. Rum and cachaça were distilled from sugar cane grown on the family plantation. Today, Santos Dumont is made from fresh Brazilian sugar cane juice mixed with molasses-based rum from the West Indies and Central America. Santos Dumont, like few others, chooses to compose the two types of rum in a way that can only be described as Santos Dumont. With his achievements as inspiration, we have pushed the limits of excellent craftsmanship in every Santos Dumont creation and combined the spirit of Santos Dumont in every bottle and drop.

XO Palmira - a tribute to Albert Santos Dumont (1873-1932) Palmira is a rum-based spirit made from the finest sugar cane juice. It would like to be called a "rhum traditionnel", but we think it could open up a category of its own. It is aged in former sweet wine barrels. This gives it its elegant tannins.
Nose: aromas of fresh apricots, toasted marshmallows and sweet tobacco, with a hint of honey and ripe fruit.
Palate: Ripe sweet oak, soft and smooth, with a supple complexity, tropical fruit, sultanas along with noble rot from the maturation of sweet wine vines.
Finish: Long, soft and creamy.

Santos Dumont XO Gewürztraminer is a fascinating liqueur with a full-bodied sweetness. Nose: Tropical fruits, wine gum, milk chocolate and a slight touch of lovage.
Palate: Warm waves of orange and apricots along with coconuts and spicy notes.
Departure: Wonderfully sweet and persistent with warm, spicy notes combined with tropical fruits and a luscious wine note.
