On December 12, 1901, Guglielmo Marconi received the first transatlantic wireless signal from Cornwall, Great Britain. The signal was transmitted in Morse code; 3 short tones for the letter “S”. Over a century later, the distillery for a new Canadian whiskey was built at this historic site: Signal Hill Whisky.

Signal Hill Whisky is made from two types of grain. The maize whisky is distilled twice in a double column still to create a light and smooth character. The barley whisky is distilled in a pot still to produce a subtle, bright, nutty or malty flavour. Chill-filtering preserves multiple layers of flavour, resulting in a fuller mouthfeel and smoother finish.
Nose: A subtle aroma of sultanas, prunes, sherry, toffee, vanilla, honey, soft oak and spices.
Palate: Sweet, followed by cocoa, leather and pipe tobacco.
Finish: Creamy sherry, treacle and soft oak.
