Kavalan

This whisky is matured in new and refilled American oak casks. Kavalan Podium is a fine, elegant whisky with a floral, slightly sweet aroma, paired with vanilla and coconut flavours. It is bottled at 46% alcohol by volume and is unfiltered.

Nose: Elegant and pleasantly floral with a natural sweetness of vanilla and coconut.
Palate: Tropical fruits such as mango with a hint of honey, cherry, green apple, white pepper and grape.

Kavalan Oloroso Sherry Oak is matured in selected Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled from various batches of four to six-year-old casks. With its 46% vol. it completes the transition between the base bottlings and the cask strength soloists.

Nose: pure and complex with hints of various dried fruits, nuts and spices, a hint of vanilla
Palate: full-bodied and smooth with pleasant fruit, spice and coffee flavours.

Kavalan Ex-Bourbon Oak is the link between the basic range and the single cask bottlings of the Solist series. It matures in American first fill bourbon casks, is non-chill filtered and is bottled at a full-bodied 46% vol.‍

Nose: strong and balanced, tropical fruits, coconut, vanilla and oak wood.‍
Palate: flavours of vanilla, caramel, coconut and oak wood
Finish: fruity, soft and smooth

This bottling exemplifies the quality of Taiwanese whiskies. It is matured in six different casks, including fresh and refilled bourbon and sherry casks as well as various wine casks. The result is a multi-layered and complex whisky. The bottle design is reminiscent of Taipei 101, Taiwan's architectural pride and once the tallest building in the world.

Nose: Elegant, floral and fruity with notes of honey and tropical fruits, vanilla, coconut and chocolate.
Palate: A hint of mango combined with spicy, oily complexity.  
Finish: Strong notes of citrus fruits

The second bottling in the Kavalan Distillery Select series is a seductively soft, deeply aromatic drop with an irresistible floral and herbal complexity that symbolises the tranquillity of the forest on the palate. Distillery Select No.2 is not only suitable for pure enjoyment, but also excellent for mixing cocktails.

Nose: Strong opening with floral and grassy aromas, gentle vanilla paired with hints of pleasant woody and spicy notes in many layers.
Palate: Soft and round with a rich character.
Finish: Long and persistent.

Kavalan Distillery Select No.1 is an elegant, well-balanced whisky matured in the subtropical climate of Yilan in some of the best refill casks in the world. The soft and fruity character typical of Kavalan comes into its own here. This whisky is not only suitable for pure enjoyment, but also excellent for mixing cocktails.

Nose: soft and elegant with notes of tropical fruits
Palate: rich and complex with a hint of sweet vanilla and caramel

Kavalan Concertmaster is matured in bourbon barrels and then receives a finish of at least six months in port wine barrels, which gives it its full-bodied and smooth flavour. The bottle design is also modelled on Taipei 101

The second whisky in the Concertmaster series matures in the distillery's own refill casks and then receives a finish in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. Kavalan Concertmaster Sherry Cask Finish is an elegant, smooth and wonderfully fruity whisky with fine flavours and multi-layered complexity that brings the art of blending to the fore.

Nose: sweet vanilla and toffee, with subtle chocolate and crème brûlée in the background as well as ripe dark fruit and nutty aromas.
Palate: full-bodied with luscious tropical fruit flavours.
Finish: very balanced and lingering.
